The end result of anxious thoughts allowed to run wild is – stinkin’ thinkin.’ It shapes our beliefs, influences our behavior, and determines our destiny.
Several years ago, I discovered the cure for anxious thoughts after a wrong assumption created tension in a relationship I considered precious.
He provides everything needed to satisfy our soul’s deepest longings, but we can only experience His goodness and grace by listening carefully.
David’s circumstances gave him no time to stop, catch his breath, and prepare for the next onslaught. The attacks just kept coming.

God has purposes yet unseen for our lives, too. Every one of the hardships we experience are part of the pruning and honing necessary to prepare us.
If we take Jesus seriously, then we can rest assured that trusting in God is the better way to respond. Here are five good reasons for choosing that better way.
If we train our minds on gratitude, our brain responds by releasing hormones related to pleasure and contentment. Our day assumes a tone of joy.

We’re faced with a choice. We can camp our thoughts on lies or we can secure them on truth. Our choice influences our behaviors and determines our destiny.
Life is really hard sometimes. But suffering is temporary. Let’s neither run from it nor resist it because it refines us and strengthens our faith.
Keep your minds focused on the Truth as we ride out the storm. None of this has taken the Lord by surprise. He sees us and He prays for us.
Life with its uncertainties can feel scary at times, but I hang onto hope by focusing on God’s promises, His faithfulness, and His sovereignty.
Our circumstances may leave us feeling traumatized. But keeping our eyes on the unchanging Christ will help us weather the storm.
The thoughts we habitually think shape our beliefs. Our beliefs influence our behaviors. And our behaviors determine our outcome or destiny.
Perhaps your nighttime thoughts wander down the path of worry or fear. Maybe they take you to painful memories. If so, choose to refuse to linger there.
Our thoughts about God the Father matter. If they’re not based on truth, we develop a skewed understanding of who He is and His role in our lives.
Whatever questions we ask, we can rest assured that God hasn’t left us to answer them on our own. He’s promised to guide, advise, and lead us.
Our beliefs turn us to God for help and to trust that He knows our concerns and hears our cries. We pray in faith believing His answer is the best answer.
When we seek God’s forgiveness for wrong attitudes and behaviors, He cleanses us from our sin. He sees us not for who we were and the mistakes we made.
I’ve traveled more miles than I can count in the past four weeks. My journey took me to Hong Kong, Nepal, Bangladesh, Turkey, Poland, Belgium, and Iceland.
God’s unshakeable Truth helps calm fear. God is up to something far bigger than I can imagine; I will trust and not be afraid because He is with me.
If the Spirit controls our thoughts, we learn to establish healthy boundaries. We experience the freedom of forgiveness and the joy of life and peace.
